This week we're taking part in Digital Art Week. This is a wonderful event that celebrates digital art and creativity in schools across Ireland. Today we went to the computer room and created images using two cool websites - Bomomo and Odosketch. Here is Meil's Bomomo piece.
And here are some Odosketch creations from Dillon & James G, Fionn and Jack C.
We'll be creating many more pieces throughout the week so keep an eye on this blog and on our class blog at http://mrlanesclass.wordpress.com. We'll also be keeping up with @Leo_the_V and his arch enemy @HarryHawk1 on Twitter, plans are afoot for a major art robbery!

For the last two months or so we have been collecting postcards in our classroom. We have been in touch with friends and family in many countries all over the world and have received lots and lots of postcards! Some of the countries are Australia, Canada, Germany, USA, UK, Argentina and Costa Rica. We have also received some postcards from other parts of Ireland. Here are a few photos to show you how we are doing. We will make another post soon to show you our wall display!

We have been studying and writing Haikus. A Haiku is a type of poem, originally from Japan. They generally consist of three lines with 5 syllables in the first, 7 in the second and 5 in the third. We recorded some of our work on Audioboo, you can listen to it below.

Well done to Meil from Mr. Lane's Class who had an article published in the February edition of Primary Planet. Meil got the chance to write an article having previously written a winning comment on the Primary Planet website.
