Recently, Ms.Kelly’s, Mr.O’Reilly’s and Mr.Lane’s class went to the P.E. hall to make movies with a unique animation type called stop animation.
The person who helped us was an artist by the name of Mick Fortune. We used lego, toys etc to create our movies. We also used small cameras that we used manually with our hands as well as cameras on tripods wired up to a laptop.
Our movies were roughly only ten seconds long but took almost an hour and a half to be made. Our storylines varied but we all made our movies in the same way.
It was fun and exciting to make our movies especially because we were with our friends and, although it was also hard to come up with a storyline, everyone did it in time. We also put sound on our movies. In order to do that Mick got a voice recorder, replayed the movie and told us to make whatever sound we thought fit.
