On the 8th of December our school choir and other choirs from all over the country performed at the 2013 Hallelujah Choir Festival in Citywest, Dublin. When we arrived at Citywest all the choirs (3,ooo performers) were brought to their seats. From 11:30am - 12:30pm we had a big rehearsal of all our songs and dance moves with our conductor Gearóid Grant, our artistic director Andy Instone, the live band and with all the other choirs. Then we had our lunch. The doors opened at 2pm for the 3,000 audience members. The concert started at 3pm and finished at 5pm. There were a few guest performers like Tabby Callaghan, Connie Talbot, Hermitage Green and Mairéad Hickey. The songs we performed were Musical Memories, Electricity, For Those About To Rock, Pop Medley, Let It Be, Pride (In The Name Of Love), Let's Groove, Put On Your Dancin' Shoes, The Party Goes On, Grease Medley, Never Do A Tango With An Eskimo, Ballads of Ireland, I've Got Soul But I'm Not A Soldier. At the end of the concert we also sang Free Nelson Mandela in honour of the late South African President.
