On Thursday the 7th of March we celebrated world book day in St. Corbans. We completed several exciting activities based on our favourite books and authors. The boys had silent reading time, created book marks, had a quiz and circle time where the boys spoke about their favourite book. Take a look at some of our favourite books below. The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series by Jeff Kinney is a huge favourite among many of the boys in our class. "They are funny and I enjoy the pictures that are presented." Robert Shaw "I like the David Walliams book because they are funny, romantic and action packed novels." Odhran Kelly "They are funny and very well written." Andrew Osbourne Aswell as fiction books the boys like to read non fiction books also. "I like the facts in non fiction book. You find out a lot of information" Alex Nugent Beast Quest by Adam Blade is a series that many of the boys find it hard to put down in the classroom. They regularly swap books with one another.
"They are full of action. I hope there will be a series 14." Paddy Mc Mahon "I like the Beast Quest series because its a young boy like me." - Nathan Barret The boys making their First Communion this year will tonight celebrate the Sacrament of First Penance. The ceremony takes place in the school hall which has been decorated beautifully by the boys, their teacher and our SNAs. Well done to all involved, a wonderful evening is in store.
