We incubated chicken eggs for 21 days in 3rd class. Conor Murphy tended happily to the eggs every day. As time went on, the third class pupils weighed and recorded the weight of the eggs. The egg strangely looses weight as the chick develops inside the egg. Many boys found this fact very interesting.
What started out as a project in third class became a wonder for the whole school. Many pupils keenly watched the uploaded images on our website also. Unfortunately all were not strong enough to survive the whole process, but we got four happy chicks.
Below are some pictures with our furry friends.
Kildare captain and former St. Corban's student Eamonn Callaghan visited us again this year to present medals to our sporting stars of this year. Well done to all the boys who represented their classes and their school proudly and in particular to our U13 footballers who won the Kildare title for the first time in 19 years!
Yesterday, the second class boys went on their school tour. Below you can read Cormac Geissel's and Conor McGrane's thoughts on the day!
