Thursday 13/11/14 Once again St. Corban's are contributing to the Team Hope Christmas shoebox appeal. Tomorrow is the last day to get the shoeboxes in. Thank you to everyone for the contributions so far. Two boys from Mr. Ryan's sixth class helped Ms. Foley's second class collect a lot of shoeboxes on Thursday. Friday 14/11/14 Team Hope came to collect all the shoeboxes today. Thank you once again for all your support. The school would also like to thank Ms. Foley and her class for organising the collection again this year. Christmas in the City The streets were lit up by lights - how they glowed.
I watched in amazement as I walked down the road. More shopping than lounging, One store to the other, And I laughed and I played as I followed my mother. The carol singers sang, The bell ringers rang, The little children screamed As their twinkling eyes beamed. I saw such a sight in this one little night, But when I got home I was out like a light. As I fell to the bed my mind drifted away To the excitement that would happen that amazing next day. That next morning I opened the door To find a thousand presents, maybe millions or more! As I ripped and I tore I shouted with glee, As my mother exclaimed “Look, more presents to see!” Written by Jack Mc Grath 3rd class - room 21 There have been some wonderful decorations around our school to help create an exciting Christmas spirit. Have a look at the photos below. Photos by Cian, captions by Eoin, School Website Team 2012/2013.
