Christmas in the City The streets were lit up by lights - how they glowed.
I watched in amazement as I walked down the road. More shopping than lounging, One store to the other, And I laughed and I played as I followed my mother. The carol singers sang, The bell ringers rang, The little children screamed As their twinkling eyes beamed. I saw such a sight in this one little night, But when I got home I was out like a light. As I fell to the bed my mind drifted away To the excitement that would happen that amazing next day. That next morning I opened the door To find a thousand presents, maybe millions or more! As I ripped and I tore I shouted with glee, As my mother exclaimed “Look, more presents to see!” Written by Jack Mc Grath 3rd class - room 21

![]() This year's Halloween at St. Corban's is turning out to be very good indeed. From decorations to spooky stories the school looks wonderful. I had a very enjoyable time looking at all the students dressed up and having fun. The decorations put a smile on everyone's face. Best wishes to all and have a happy Halloween!
