All 6th classes went on a retreat earlier this week as part of Confirmation preparation.
The reason behind the retreat was to allow the pupils to step back and learn more about why they are continuing their journey of faith with God. The children took part in a lot of activities throughout the retreat. First the children were asked questions and talked a little about Confirmation. Afterwards they had lunch. They were then split into three groups. One group went into a meditating room, whilst the two remaining groups went into separate rooms. When all the children had completed the activities they had lunch again. To finish the day the two classes were split and had a prayer service. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the day and would like to thank everybody who arranged the retreat. Article by Alex, St. Corban's Media Team.

The boys making their First Communion this year will tonight celebrate the Sacrament of First Penance. The ceremony takes place in the school hall which has been decorated beautifully by the boys, their teacher and our SNAs. Well done to all involved, a wonderful evening is in store.
