A Spectacular Production of ‘Beauty and the Beast’

May 31st, 2026

After months of dedicated preparation, our talented students took to the stage to perform a modern 21st-century adaptation of the timeless classic, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, over three memorable nights at the Moat Theatre. The performances were met with standing ovations each night, and we are immensely proud of the boys for their outstanding talent and hard work.

The production showcased a wide array of skills, from acting and singing to dancing, artwork, managing backstage, costumes and props and stagecraft. The boys’ commitment and creativity shone through every aspect of the show.

A special thank you goes to Ms. McCarville for her exceptional writing and direction, which brought this innovative version of the story to life. We also extend our gratitude to our dedicated teachers who played vital roles behind the scenes, involving applying makeup, organising costumes, props, and engineering technical elements such as lighting, sound and managing the microphones.

Our appreciation to Mr. Drewett and Ms. Bonner for expertly hosting the performances as MCs. We also thank the Parents’ Association for their invaluable support in organising and selling raffle tickets and programmes, as well as the local businesses that generously sponsored prizes.

The atmosphere in the Moat Theatre was truly electric, and the boys’ performances was an uplifting experience for all. They should be incredibly proud of their achievements!

Our fantastic show at the Moat was proudly featured in The Leinster Leader, our local newspaper!

As a reward for all the hard work, all cast members, backstage and artists received no homework on Monday night and enjoyed a pizza party on Thursday along with extra Golden Time.

Huge well done to all!
